Tianrui Qiu / Qiu Tianrui
I am a Class of 2028 Mechanical and Electrical Engineering student applying for a 2027 automotive or motorsport placement. My experience includes Fusion 360 part and assembly modelling, engineering drawings, electromechanical integration, Python signal processing, and MATLAB thermal analysis. My projects include CAD and assembly for an arena-tested 150 g flipper robot, Python analysis of 5 kHz cantilever-test data, and a fan-coupled heat-sink model compared with laboratory measurements.

I am building a foundation in mechanical and electrical engineering through coursework and hands-on projects. My current focus is CAD modelling, mechanical drawing, robotics, vehicle electronic chassis, Python, MATLAB, 3D printing, and practical AI Agent workflows for engineering learning.
Featured Work
Click any project card to open the full project story, CAD/GLB model, build photos, drawings, MATLAB plots, and report-backed analysis.
Open-Source Codex Skills Projects
Built two open-source AI Agent projects from real engineering-learning friction: Python and FFmpeg turn unsubtitled tutorials into transcript evidence, and a bilingual rules checklist makes coding-agent workflows clearer and easier to verify.
First-Year Design Portfolio
Built a first-year Design portfolio as a full design communication chain: hand construction, Fusion 360 modelling, software technical drawings, a 14-item parts list, and an interactive web GLB model.
Robot War Society Project
Worked on a 150g-class compact flipper robot for BEEES Robot Wars, turning CAD layout, 3D-printed structure, electronics packaging, serviceability, and arena feedback into the next iteration priorities.
High-Power LED Cooling Analysis
Built a reusable fan-coupled MATLAB heat-sink solver, validated the trend against 25/35/45 mm lab data, and connected cooling behaviour to LED system efficiency judgement.
Vibration, Sampling & Data Analysis
Built a microphone–amplifier–Raspberry Pi Pico acquisition chain and a Python workflow to validate a 500 Hz tone, extract ruler-vibration frequency, and estimate Young's modulus while accounting for noise and outliers.
